    Forest fire, Maesteg, South Wales

    Maesteg, Wales, May 31st 2020. A fire fighter is pictured through smoke as a large forest fire burns in Maesteg, South Wales. Crews from across the region and a helicopter faught the flames for over 24-hours during the weekend to bring them under control as several fires raged across the area: It brought an end to the driest May since records began 124 years ago.

    Merthyr, Wales, UK. 29th May 2020. UK Weather : The Cray reservoir in the Brecon Beacons, north of the town of Merthyr, which is currently at a very low level of water. The UK is set to so it's driest May for 124 years, as temperatures have risen during the lockdown period and long periods of no rain with fears of a hose pipe ban across some areas of the country being introduced.

    Swansea, Wales, UK. 27th May 2020. A golfer tees off in the normally busy village of Southgate on the Gower peninsular in South Wales has been taken over be cows. The herd, who are regulars in the village, are making the most of the quieter lockdown period, as local advise people to stay away. The animals are enjoying strolling the streets, the beautiful golf course, and it's sea front paths. Gower, the first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the UK, would normally be full of tourists on one of the hottest days of the year in Wales and the UK.

    Dan-yr-Ogof cave complex reopens, Brecon Beacons, Wales.

    26th July 2020, Brecon Beacons, Wales. Staff member Elisha Lewis cleans the inside of a dinosaurs mouth at Dan-yr-Ogof Caves in Wales. The attraction, which has the largest caving complex of it's kind in the UK and is located within the Brecon Beacons National Park, has reopened this weekend after months of closure due to the coronavirus lockdown. Similar attractions in England which have been open for a month, urged the Welsh Government to follow suit and let Dan-yr-Ogof open their doors. Credit : Robert Melen

The incident has destroyed a terrace home in the village and the owners have been rushed to hospital. The area is currently being made safe

    Rhondda, Wales 18th June 2020. U.K. Chris Bryant MP for the Rhondda meets residents in Pentre, South Wales which was hit by flash flooding after heavy rain in the area. It is the second time this year that residents have been hit by flood water, destroying homes and leading many to find new accommodation.

The historic water mill at the Gower Heritage centre in south Wales, which is still turning despite the popular tourist attraction being closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic restrictions. There has been a mill at the location on the peninsular since 1160, and it is still in operation today, with flour going into the locally produced bread and being sold online for collection and delivery. Emergency service staff stand in a guard in honor, covered in a flood of blue light from their vehicles during a memorial for Welsh Ambulance Service paramedic Gerallt Davies who died of Covid-19 last week. The staff, many who worked with Gerallt were joined with members of his community from the village of Pontardawe near Swansea.
